Shad0WeN asked:

I have a Canon MX310 multifunction printer set up on a D-Link DPR-1260 print server. In the Canon drivers in the maintenance tab is an option to Power Off the printer through the drivers. Does anyone know if there is a way to POWER ON the printer through the network so that I don’t have to walk to it to turn it on? Perhaps with some kind of 3rd-party driver/app?

I have a Canon MP640 which has both wired and wireless network support. I was also trying to get an answer to that question but after searching through the web and printer manuals I don’t believe it is possible.

I’ve read something about a Linux driver that was able to do this, but it was a DIY driver and not supported by Canon. For Windows I don’t think there is such thing. Which is a pity.
